Savannah Tweetup has officially been rocking this town for 1 year, and to celebrate we're throwing an epic birthday bash this Friday night, August 26th, at Hang Fire Bar.
We wouldn't be where we are now without our awesome social geeks, and we humbly thank you all! An awesome milestone such as this warrants an awesome venue, and Hang Fire is opening their doors to us and extending their already awesome happy hour until 10 just for us. Come have some birthday cake (graciously provided by Mrs. T's Baked Goods in Richmond Hill), have a drink and join Jillian and Erik as they toast to another great year in Savannah.

Who do you think we are?
Savannah Tweetup was co-founded by Jillian Rowe and Erik Shultz. We are two social media geeks looking to be involved in our great community. You can always find us somewhere socializing with the geeks of the low country in Savannah, Georgia.

Beat the Heat-up Tweetup!
It's hot out there! Let's beat the heat with a delicious Frozen Yogurt snack from our friends at the Southside La'Berry. Bring your family, your friends, or just yourself to enjoy a cool, refreshing, and healthy treat. La'Berry offers great self serve frozen yogurt. Not familiar with self serve yogurt? You get a cup, choose from several flavors of frozen yogurt (which change almost daily), then visit the topping bar to make your creation all your own with a wide variety of fruit, candy, cookies, and anything else you can imagine. When you're satisfied, the friendly staff weighs your yogurt cup and you pay by the ounce.
La'Berry has graciously offered our group a 30% discount on our yogurt that day, so if you haven't tried it yet, now is the time. The discount will be offered from noon to 5pm, but Jillian and Erik will be there from 1-2pm to hang out with the group. Summer is in full swing and it's time again to get out and join Jillian and Erik for a couple of drinks. We have carefully selected another great venue that loves the social media crowd and they have free wifi!
Bar Food is tucked into the Habersham Village, their exceptional French-Asian cuisine complimenting its extensive wine and beer menu definitely stands out. With an ever changing and evolving food and drink menu, your neighborhood bar can never go out of style! Bar Food has kindly offered the following drink specials to those who are lucky enough to attend. Enjoy all house wine for $4.00 a glass, $2.00 draft and $2.00 well drinks!

The Travelocity Roaming Gnome has been to Savannah and we all enjoyed his visit. I think we overwhelmed the gnome with our huge social media community. A very special thank you to our new friends at Visit Savannah for help hosting the world famous Gnome.
The month of June will be responsible for bringing an exciting gathering for our Twitter followers and Facebook fans. You are all invited to join us for a special birthday tweetup event for Jillian! Bring your camera, phone and best friends for all the fun!

The Travelocity Roaming Gnome is coming for a visit and he wants to meet Savannah's finest. He'll be Tweeting about his experiences throughout his visit and we hope you'll come join in the fun at a special Tweetup. Come meet the world-famous Travelocity Roaming Gnome when he visits Savannah at Churchill's Pub.
All out twitter followers & facebook fans are invited to join us for this festive event! Bring your camera and your friends for the fun! The Roaming Gnome will be taste-testing Churchill's brand new "Draft Table".
